“At the end of every dark tunnel shines a light”.
The above aphorism is a source of encouragement during each challenging moment one endures. Nonetheless, for the young children suffering from crippling diseases such as Downs’ Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and the like there seems to be no light. At Tzohar, we help them see that light…
At Tzohar we are committed to our mission: to open a world of opportunity for the less fortunate – a window to the world for disabled children.
Currently, we are in desperate need of specific equipment with which without we are unable to assist our precious children:
1) Hydraulic Bath – One division at Tzohar deals with children suffering from severe motor disorders amongst them a child crippled by Cerebral Palsy. In order to care for the children’s hygiene, we are in desperate need of a hydraulic bath.
The Cost: $3,500
2) Stander Brace – Children suffering from paralysis are unable to sit or stand - they remain in a lying position all day. In order to ensure proper circulation and muscle\nerve health it is crucial for them to spend several hours a week in an upright position. However, due to the increase of needy children, we cannot cater to all of them without another Stander.
The Cost: $5,200
3) Communication device fro CP – Chronically ill children can learn to communicate with head and hand motion for which we need to purchase communication devices.
The Cost: $650
